OUTREACH MINISTRY

Our core value of "Outreach" means connecting with and serving our community.  We do that directly through our Good Neighbor Grant, but we also partner with organizations to extend that outreach even further.  Here's a list of the many groups we support with our time, resources and ongoing partnership.

  • For decades Hillsboro Presbyterian Church has practiced setting aside 10% of our annual income for our Benevolence ministry.  This means before our annual budget is even set we are choosing to bless others just as we have been blessed.  The Benevolence ministry is not the totality of our financial investment in the community, but it is an intentional practice used to constantly remind us of our core values and our calling to be generous disciples of Jesus.  Below you will find a list of the organizations we support annually through our Benevolence ministry.

Room In The Inn  |  Safe Haven Family Shelters  |  Luke 14:12 Lunch Program  |  Penuel Ridge Retreat Center  |  Martha O'Bryan Center

Preston Taylor Ministries  |  UKirk Nashville  |  The Next Door Ministry  |  Reconciliation Center  |  Nashville Community Bail Bond Fund

Unheard Voices Outreach  |  Nation's Ministry Center  |  Second Harvest  |  Siloam Family Health Center  |  Friend's Life

Habitat for Humanity  |  Nashville Food Project  |  Spruce Street Baptist Lunch Program  |  Telos Ministries

  • HPC has recurring weekly to annual service opportunities.  Many of these partnerships span decades.  Some are large projects done once a year and some are weekly commitments.  Each and every one is a rewarding opportunity to improve the lives of our neighbors.  You'll find a list of our Annual Community Service Parters below as well as links to their websites.

  • Our commitment to outreach means getting our hands and feet involved in serving our community.  Through our Saturday Serve each month we work with organizations in our community to provide people power to get things done.  These are some of the most rewarding experiences we have as followers of Jesus.  A list of those organizations and ministries are available below as well as links to their websites.
