This meeting will be conducted both in-person and online.  Link for online meeting will appear on the NOW page on Sunday morning

The Nominating Committee brings to us a slate of nominees (seen below) to consider and elect.

NOMINATIONS for ELDER

  • Larry Bullock | Elder Nominee Class of 2027

Born and raised in Cookeville, TN, I developed a deep appreciation for family and religious values. My family attended the First Methodist Church in Cookeville where i was a member until joining HPC in Dec 2015.

In addition to previously serving as an HPC Elder during the Covid 19 era, I am a member of the Lectionary Sunday Class, Life Group, served on Pastor Nominating committee that brought Pastor Shane to us. In addition, I helped with RITI, Habitat build, Ushering, and helping with HPC events in Fellowship Hall, as well as off campus activities.

  • Charlie Gougeon | Elder Nominee Class of 2027

Susan and I became members of HPC in February 2023. We were seeking a church that was inclusive to all and was outwardly welcoming and actively involved. We have found our perfect fit in HPC.

I currently serve on the HPC Building & Grounds Committee and have worked in the Memory Garden. I retired after a 35 year career with the Maryland Dept. Of Natural Resources. I have had a deep connection to our natural world since I was a very young boy. I was blessed by God, who gave me my great love of His creation. He kept me focused and led me on a path to serve Him. I am a very empathetic person. I love to meet people and build new relationships. I’m extremely honored and humbled to have been given this opportunity to be considered to serve as an Elder of HPC!

  • Jennifer Kamper | Elder Nominee Class of 2027

I was raised in the Christian Reformed Church and have always been very involved in my previous churches, participating in worship teams, serving as a Deacon and church Treasurer.  Ryan & I found Hillsboro during the Covid pandemic, initially attending online, and joined as members in 2023.  I care deeply about Hillsboro's mission of inclusivity and it was one of the things that drew us to this church.

Outside of church, I work in Employee Incidents in Compliance for UBS.  In my free time, I love traveling and hiking, especially appreciating God's creation through nature.
